Book movies

Have you ever watched a movie based on a book and you were waiting for a part of a book that you loved and they didn’t even add it in? Recently, Catching Fire, Ender’s game, City of Bones and a few other book have had a movie made for them. While watching them I kept seeing the movie leave out some of my favorite parts. I am angered but, I decided to look at movie writer’s problems. First, Suppose you have a 500 page book and can only make a 150 minute movie (which is still really long) that means that 3.333 pages occurs a minute or, 1/20 of a page per second for a 2 and a half hour long movie! Most likely movies are only a hour and a half so that is about 1/10 of a page per second. Two, who want’s a one minute long major fight scene. And finally three, honestly movies have to cut out all the fluff of a book so think about that next time you are flustered.

I’m From a Old Lamp

I’m from a old lamp that kept the monsters away

from sparkling water and Brussels sprouts that my mom won’t throw away.

I am from the old oak tree growing into the window

and the lack of moisture always in the air.

I am from a plum tree named flowers

and the trees leaves who never grew from a devastating drought.

I am from Chinese and pizza on Christmas eve

from Ted and Katie.

I’m from the stuffed pig on top of the Christmas tree

and my brother sitting on me

I am from screen peeking

And that’s cheap.

I’m from the monsters under the bed and evil bears

and mom is always right.

I am from the peanut’s movies.

I’m from Austin and Westlake

and chicken nuggets and chicken parmesan.

I’m from my brother double jumping my sister off the trampoline’s net and breaking her arm

and the $1000 under my bed causing my mom to give both my brother and sister $500 because they were angry that I was richer

than them.
